Hi! My name is Nikki, and I am the owner and designer for Nikki Howard Handmade. My love for sewing started with helping my grandmother and mother with their sewing projects when I was small. In my middle and high school years, my best friend’s mother was a master at a sewing machine and could sew literally anything. I spent many weekends over at their house hand sewing clothes for our dolls that I dreamed of doing more. I dabbled with quilts for a few years before deciding that my true love (besides my amazing husband) is sewing custom bags.

I am a wife, a mother to 3 amazing boys, a gram to 3 darling grands and dog mom to 2 rescue dogs. I love a good cup of coffee, spending time with family and friends and sitting on the beach with a book in one hand and a pina colada in the other.

This business is truly a family affair. From my mother and I doing the majority of the sewing, my husband doing a lot of the behind the scenes the work, to the kids running packages to the post office and picking up extra chores and helping load/unload the vehicles after a vendor event. Not by blood but definitely family is our friend, Brittany. I honestly don’t know what I would have done without her. From watching our dogs while we are at expos, to helping plan our layouts, and helping set up & tear down at events, she is my “what do you need me to do?” person and for that I am so thankful.
